Sharon Matthews – President and Chief Executive Officer
As president and CEO, Sharon Matthews oversees the overall operations of the company and is responsible for the growth of eLynx’s market leadership position providing secure electronic document distribution and collaboration services for the financial services, mortgage banking, and real estate industries. Matthews joined eLynx as president and CEO in February 2007 and is also a member of the board of directors.
Matthews came to eLynx with more than 25 years of senior executive experience running profitable large technology and software companies. Under her four-year leadership at Solectron, an electronic manufacturing services business, she re-engineered the multiple sales organizations into a single cohesive whole and then applied those principles to successfully run a profitable $1.7 billion business unit based on large corporate accounts in the Computer Sector. Prior to her role in Solectron, Matthews was the CEO of UCMS, a global customer relationship management outsourcing business with operations in the U.S. and Australia.
As a partner in Unisys, Matthews ran the Australian Postal Authority business during a five year period growing annual revenues and building strong customer relationships. Before joining Unisys, Matthews spent 10 years at Wang Laboratories working in various marketing and product planning and management roles based both in Australia and at the world headquarters in the United States.
Matthews’ management style is about leadership and professionalism. The customer always comes first and she makes commitments and delivers on them at all times. Throughout her organizations, she demands and expects teamwork and respect for the individual. She is a driver of employee and organizational transformation initiatives to ensure a productive workforce and the delivery of a superior service experience.
Matthews is an active coach and a member of the advisory board of Canyon Snow Consulting. In addition to her business leadership, Matthews is active in philanthropic activities. As a member on the executive board of the non-profit City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley, her primary focus is on raising funds to support City Year’s programs to keep children in class so they can graduate from inner city schools.
Matthews earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and politics from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at Columbia University in New York. She is a dual U.S. and Australian citizen residing in northern California.
